alas

I would like to have a greenhouse.  The translucent kind for growing plants, not the green kind of energy efficient house, or the green kind because it was painted that color.
Sure, I would grow stuff in there, but mainly it would serve as my extremely well lit sanctuary.  When it gets cold and snowy I will go outside into my greenhouse. I will check on my winter squash, or winter cabbage (whatever those are), and I will feel the warmth of the sun collecting in my greenhouse.  I will take off my jacket, smile, and perpetuate my eternal Spring. In my greenhouse.

Free Rides Here!

I wish I had a haywagon.  The kind you give rides on.  I would decorate it with hay and I would offer kids and adults FREE rides.  When it would get full to the brim with passengers I would start out slow, safe and let the people know they should jump off whenever they want.  And I would then steadily increase my speed and erratic driving pattern with plenty of unpredictable swerving and jarring stops and starts, faster and faster until I have thrown every one of those "free-riders" off my haywagon.  I think people who give up right away, the quitters, are usually, unjustly, made to look bad in our society- in this case, those people would be the clear winners.   Plus it just sounds like fun to fling people off a haywagon.  I better make it an L.L.C..

blur

I know my connection from earth to heaven is a blurry optimism, at best.  I used to have a bowl full of grapes.  Sadly, there are no more grapes in my bowl.  I don't remember taking the last one, but I don't think anyone else took it.
